I realize that we all give each other gifts on special occasions: birthdays, weddings, Christmas. God gives us gifts every day, rain or shine, sleep or sleeplessness, famine and feast. I'm counting the everyday gifts that come in such abundance that I often don't even notice them. A Very Merry Un-Birthday to ME! To YOU!
Silent gratitude isn't much use to anyone. ~G.B. Stern
0102: Reading a book for book club. Being in a book club makes it feel like you are actually working, completing an assignment. "I must read this book, I have book club! Never mind the laundry, it can wait!"
0103: Walking into a room and seeing this staring up at you from the floor (thanks Anna!)
(and yes, I did have a photo shoot for a Mr. Potato Head. Thanks to a black dish towel for making the shot so "studio-ish")(Please ignore the lint).
0104: Baby pictures of my husband.
0105: Crock pots
0106: Trips to the farm; exploring the great outdoors with my two wild ones (one is just barely getting wild, now that he has discovered mobility beyond strollers and other people's arms)
0107: dressing my boys in matching outfits. I can't help myself.
0108: Good advice
0109: Hymns in church with just an acoustic guitar, a girl's voice and a chorus of off-key sheep
0110: Eating samples at Costco. There's nothing like snacking while you shop.
0111: Doing puzzles with Q. We spend a lot of time trying to keep Sheldon from eating the pieces, but Sheldon is a good cheerleader now that his favorite thing to do is clap his hands.
