The painting didn't remind me of Yosemite, but it did remind me of a yellow and orange plaid rug my mom had when I was little. It matched her orange couch. I still contend that it was a velour couch but my mom swears it was made out of a more dignified material. These are the things I thought about as I stared at the painting.
After 20 minutes of waiting I noticed an orange deer hidden in the orange shrubbery. I thought it would be cool if other things were hidden in this painting. Then it wouldn't just be a hideous painting, it would be a mysterious hideous painting. I searched in desperation for bunnies and other creatures. There was only a deer.
After 40 minutes, I started to fantasize about putting stickers of canoes and tee pees over the thing.
I also read a SELF magazine. It was saying, "Eat right and have young skin! Drink lots of water! Wear a pedometer!"
I told myself that when I was not sick, I would start working out. I told myself that I would drink water and eat right so I would look young. Then I went home and ate a brownie.
This morning I had a chai tea and a pumpkin scone from Starbucks. The sugar, oh the sugar. Then I snapped out of it and had tuna and crackers for lunch. It's never too late to start reaching for your goals!...then I had another brownie.
I recorded Casablanca, which I have never seen. I have watched five minutes of it. I have been spending most of my free time napping. Oh, and eating brownies.
