A Day For Chicken Sticks

34 It was warm and balmy and beautiful and sunny and green and puffed cloud perfection. The strawberry plants were singing (I'm sure of it), the cat was mincing around in the grass, and the boys were doing what boys should do on a spring afternoon; eating chocolate chip cookies in their play house...with milk.
For dinner it was a rotisserie chicken, the already prepared kind you can buy for a fiver at the grocery store. Q felt blessed by the unexpected treat of a "chicken stick". He wielded his drumstick in the air and announced, "We only have chicken sticks on very special occasions right?"

And I said yes, because today is a special occasion. The sun rose, the laundry bred, the coffee brewed, the birds sang and the cat ate some of my kitchen spider plant again. What could be more of an occasion than Today?

And just in case you were doubtful about the absolute delight of existence, I present Exhibit A, and I rest my case:

Happy Friday!
