As I tried to attain my goals of purchasing the needed, avoiding the unneeded, and keeping everyone out of danger, the following took place:
Q sat in the front of the grocery cart and said, "YAH WHO! YAH WHO!" at the top of his lungs as we went through the store. Unfortunately I was trying to be invisible, because I basically didn't shower OR brush my hair before going out. Let's not even talk about makeup.
I realized again (I never learn), it is a law of nature that if you walk out of the house looking like a shipwreck, you will bump into someone you know. Not someone you know in a "I don't care what you look/smell like, I love you anyway" sense, but in a "I'm still trying to decide if you like me and think I will make a good friend" sense.
I bought tweezers. Q shouted, "What those tweezers FOR?!" at the top of his lungs. Over and OVER. I felt like saying, "Look at my jungle eyebrows. EVERYBODY LOOK!" They were looking anyway.
I went to two stores with two children, unloaded two car seats two times, loaded up car seats two more times, and forgot the milk. This is about when I started to lose my mellow.
Q was running around shouting, "STOP THE PRESSES! Stop the presses!" I have to figure out who has been letting him watch "Newsies", but it was good advice for me, I was getting frazzled.
When you have to get things done, it's easy to get swallowed up in "to-do's" and lose sight of "today". Wow, I think I just made that up. Someone stop me.

After nap time we went outside and played with bubbles. I still wasn't paying attention, but Q saw it:
a bubble tree.
If you pay attention, it's the everyday events that make life exciting and wonderful. Don't let anyone tell you different.
